What to do, step by step
Use this order when you are in-game. It expands the overview with the checks and choices that keep the route on track.
- Open the Tinkering Station and review the Expertise categories before donating anything.
- Equip useful weapons, gear, skills, or specialization items to earn Kill XP toward their Proficiency.
- Donate duplicate items or materials when the donation gives better progress than keeping the copy.
- Reach Proficient on the item type before trying to raise an individual item's Grade.
- Invest rare materials in a main loadout only after its attributes and talents are final.
